    Hi,

We have just moved onto a Blackmagic SDI card from an AJA card. I have always used NONE to capture in our (mostly) PAL footage. Does anyone else capture in using Apple NONE?

I am not sure but on one recent job there seemed to be higher levels of black in our Quicktime captured file (which ened up as an MPEG 2 on a DVD).

What is the best codec to capture in using the Blackmagic SDI card for the closet match to source material on a digibeta?

Any work flows you use would be great to know.

    Cheers,

    T

I thought the NONE codec was an RGB codec?

Uncompressed 10bit would be the closest to the source material.

I would use the Animation codec for RGB material. It supports an alpha and uses a lossless compression to make the files a little smaller.
