  3 month non-stop recording

  A customer has asked for a system that record a TV-signal for a non-stop period at 3 months (24 hours pr. day).
  It’s no problem to have the proces split the files in several minor files, and also a compression to H264 and other aspect ratio than the full signal.

  I’m considering an Apple XServe with a proper RAID and then the Blackmagic Video Recorder.
  Do You think that could work, where we set Video Recorder to split the video for each 60 minutes, or are there other/better solutions ?

  Hi.

  You might consider other solutions as MAXX Digital etc as XServe is not the cheapest and fastest.
