I am using the Blackmagic Studio Card on Final Cut 6.

I am importing Betacam SP but cannot figure out how to change the presets for the number of Audio Channels that get imported to the video file.

Under Decklink System Prefs for the Mac I have:
Settings–>Set Input: Component Video & Analog XLR Audio
(which it only has 4 Analog inputs anyway)

I have played with Capture Presets and Device Presets. Under Capture Presets I cannot change the default 16-chan value (see image).

Under Device Presets, I can adjust the Audio mapping but that does not seem to affect my options for the Capture Presets (see image).

Any help would be appreciated. I can still edit with it, but it’s taking up too much space in the Viewer with all those channel tabs.

    Thanks…

    Hey Naiche

The Blackmagic device defaults to its maximum which is 16 channels.

When you go to capture just go to the capture settings window and deselect all the unwanted channels and capture away!

What would I do without the ‘UNDO’ button!!!!

    Baz, Thank you!

Actually in my setup, it seems to be under the Clip Settings(don’t understand how that makes sense, capture makes more sense.) And you basically click the mute-looking button.

I don’t know why clicking that did not occur to me. Worked like a charm.
