  • Multibridge Pro Extended Desktop not working

In FCP & After Effects, everything looks great. In extended desktop, the image is corrupted – almost as if it’s not getting sync. In system prefs, I can switch to “last frame played” or “black” and it works fine. I need extended desktop for Photoshop preview.

I’ve done the usual – re-install, restart, even connected a sync cable to the ref input, but I think that is only for capturing.

    Hi Will,

Are you connecting the output of the Multibridge Pro to an SD only monitor? The Extended Desktop feature will (by default) use the highest resolution Multibridge Pro supports which your monitor might not support, hence the out of sync symptom. To correct this, simply go into your Display preferences, click on the Gather Windows button which will bring the “Television” settings into your main computer window. This will allow you to toggle the output resolution of the Video Desktop.

However, you should not have to use the Video Desktop feature to preview your Photoshop comp. Simply use our Photoshop plugin which is installed by default. This option can be found in “File > Export > Blackmagic Image Export”.

    regards

Thanks Kristian, I was trying to connect an HD-LCD and the PVM.. I was thinking I could display both SD and HD at the same time. PVM is component and the LCD is HDMI.

The Photoshop plug-in is nice. Just made an ‘action” button for one-click display.

    Thanks for the help.
