Can the Multibridge Eclipse(or any Blackmagic product) perform “realtime” SD-to-HD upconversion for Final Cut ProRes file creation and editing just like the AJA Kona3?

    To 1080i, yes. 720p, no.

    ProRes…yes.

    Shane,

Do you have experience of the quality that this produces? Now that i’ve established that it can do it, I want to know how well before I put down my hard earned cash…

Please explain which cards can do this?
And, does it create the ProRes file as you capture in realtime? Is this done through Final Cut only, or with the Decklink capture interface as well?
