    Hi all,

I am an experienced AE user but very new to the world of Blackmagic. Recently my shop has upgraded to Windows Vista 32-bit Ultimate as well as AE CS3. Things are going pretty well despite all the noise on the web regarding Vista.

    I’ve got two issues

    1. While ram previewing outputs to the client monitors fine, the picture occasionally freezes. The only way to fix this is to go into edit>preferences>Video preview and hit OK. Then the card wakes up and returns to normal previewing. Any clue what’s going here?

    2. I know this card is able to play back AVIs, QTs, and DPX frame seqs straight from the hard drive. I have no clue how to do this. I thought that this is what Framelink was for. However I’m getting an error “Cannot play back movie at this time” when I right-click, open with framelink. What is the workflow here. When I render a shot, I want to be able to watch the whole thing down with embedded audio without having to import into an edit workstation.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Monty
