I’m a motion graphics artist/compositor using Shake, After effects etc and I also use Final Cut Pro. I own a new MacPro and a not-so-new Sony PD150 camcorder. I will hopefully be buying a JVC TM-H150CG broadcast grade monitor as I will be producing more TV graphics in the future.
I am not working with HD at present and I dont own a deck, but may hire a digibeta SP deck when needed.

I would like to know which type of decklink card would be suitable for me?
I want to be able to get the best out of capturing from my PD150 (if that’s possible with a decklink) and be able to view my work live on a broadcast monitor.

Forgive the simplicity of this question, but as I am a frelancer I want to spend the minimum amount on the right gear.

    Many thanks

Decklink HD Extreme will let you do everything. The PD-150 is going to go via firewire, and not the Decklink card. The card will let you input anything, and output to your Beta VTR, monitors, and everything else.
