  HDLink (DeckLinks) vs video cards in video monitoring

  I am quite new to these things and I would like to know more about these devices. I know that the difference between that two can somehow fall into the video quality displayed into the LCD output. Yet, I needed more ideas, clarifications, more profound explanation about how these devices work, and why is it important to know these differences.

  Anyone can help me?

  the HD Link is a product that allows you to display a SDI or HD-SDI video signal on a DVI or HDMI monitor. DVI and HDMI monitors do not have SDI or HD-SDI inputs. If you wish to use (for example) and Apple 23″ Cinema display to see an HD image, you have to get the HD-SDI signal into that DVI connector somehow – the HD Link is how you do this. (its a converter box).
