  Kernel Panics in FCP

  If I have a clip in a different cocec and I try to cut it into a DV25 seq, then I get a kernel panic. This has happened when I tried to put HDV clips and DV50 clips into a DV25 sequence. If I switch over my A/V settings to the FCP NTSC DV preset, then I have no problems. But if I use the BlackMagic DV NTSC preset, then I get the kernel panics. The panics happend when I try to play the sequence after rendering the clips. Any ideas?

  Mac Pro 2.66 GHz
  3 GB RAM (I’ve checked RAM with Apple System Test)
  OS 10.4.8
  FCP 5.1.2
  Qucktime 7.1.3
  Blackmagic 5.9
