Just received the new Intensity, great idea but sadly there is no support for XP Pro 64, I talked with tech. support yesterday and their response was cool at best stating “oh well theres nothing they can do about it” now this is the 21st century and you would think that a company that has such great products would want to support as many OS flavors as possable from the start, not as an after thought, unfortunately I may have to send the card back unless I can get a more suitable answer such as ” Please be patient were working on it as we speak” this really meses with my pipe line, any suggestions?

Thanks for putting up with my rant.

    Hello,

Well a lot of other applications are 32bit and will not run on 64 bit systems. Also Drivers and support for Vista are better as XP is an old coded operating system now and will be phased out at the end of this month to make way for Vista.

Vista will be more stable and reliable for example, I installed Vista Business VLK onto My AMD DUalcore vast improvements on the speed of the system and it actually fixed some errors which XP had when editing such as slow import of Quciktimes on Adobe Premeire Pro along with overall stability and performance.

I would wait for Vista as it’s a more robust operating system and all the manufacturers will need to start on Vista now as it’s approaching us soon.

    Thanks,

    Leo

Thanks for your response. yea Vista looks like MS finally got something right, my copy of XP is OEM but I did receive a card for an upgrade to vista, I don’t know if it will work for OEM installs.

I did find a workaround not with the Intensity. but my Nvidia card has three outputs and one is component looks great connected to the 42in monitor haven’t had a chance to see what the playback in Premiere is like as my RAID is not up and running yet.

    Thanks

    Hi.
This is my first post on Cow forum.
I’m Italian and I write because I have order an Intensity from local dealer.
    My question is.
Before order my card I have ask to BMD european office if the XP 64bit system will be support soon.
That is the reply that I have recived in a mail from BMD Europe:

Yes, the XP X64 will be support soon.
I hope in one week but isn’t a promise.

So, after I have order the card.
Surfing on web I have read here that BDM don’t relase XP X64 drivers.
It’s true?? Can someone give a reply??

    Sorry to my english.

    Hi,

We don’t have Intensity drivers for WinXP 64-bit as yet. However, this is in the works and undergoing some testing.

Guess I started something? Good to know that they are working on it, this will keep me from doing a dual boot system.
As far as Black Magic goes thank you for your hard work, you folks are going to make a bundle off this thing, good technology great price.
I’m a Lightwave 3D user and this will make previewing my work a joy.
