  • DVCPro-HD codec in Final Cut HD question

    I don’t have Final Cut HD yet. Is is possible to record from HD-SDI 1080i to Final Cut with a Decklink Pro HD card, and have it compress to the DVCPRO-HD codec during the capture. I don’t want to have to render if possible.

    Yep. Just pick the DVCPROHD codec in the capture widow and bring it in via HD-SDI cable from the deck. We’ve done this on a number of projects so the client can edit on a tamed down raid setup.
