  • Serious problems installing decklink driver and presets to Adobe production studio

Posted by Bogeyb on May 16, 2006 at 4:19 pm

    Hello,
I tried to install the 5.42 and the 5.5.1 driver with no luck. There are no presets and plugins in the Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 Folder installed.

The Install-log file shows that the installer tried to copy the files to drive ‘D:’ but the production studio is installed on drive ‘L:’
So I searched the forum and found a solution to copy the .prm files and the presets manually to the apropriate folders. Now I can see the Presets, but when I try to start a new Project with one of the decklinks’ presets, Premiere Pro 2.0 crashes with “a serious error has occured”-message.

Has anyone an idea how to solve my problem??? Did I forget to copy some files???

Here is some text from the install-lof file:

    Hi

Is it possible you changed drive mappings after the installation of production studio ?
Recommend starting the installation of production studio again to avoid any manual copying of files.

Ensure you have DirectX9.0, Quicktime7.0, SP2 before installing production studio – then once you are set up – install the Decklink driver last.

Presets should then be available in all supported applications.

    Any problems email – pcsupport@blackmagic-design.com
