When I`m editing DVCPRO HD video I have only “single frame” output to my SD monitor ( connected via analog output ). Is it normal ?

I tried to change output settings of MBE (HD to SD) but still i can see only one frame.

Also I have one more question. What are bennefits if I add to my system DeckLink HD Pro PCIe ? More RT effects ? Or maybe only MB Extreme is enough ?

    Thanks

It sounds like the preview setting in final cut is not quite right.

    Try another setting.

    Hi Rafal,

What size and framerate is your DVCPRO HD timeline?

You can only run one card per system. Adding an additional card will not give you extra RT effects.

I have used easy setup DVCPRO HD. My timeline is 1440×1080 25fps.

I captured from Sony HDW 2000 but I didn`t have enough space so I decided to downconvert to DVCPRO.

In FCP window I have smooth, 25fps playback but on my video monitor (composite) I see only single frames, or I have playback when I`m scrubbing but when I play from timeline I see only first frame and the last one.

    Hi Rafal,

In this case, make sure you’re using the easy setup “Blackmagic HDTV 1080i50 – DVCPRO HD”.

Create a new sequence and drop your clips into that sequence. Check your View > Video Playback settings and ensure that it is set to “Blackmagic HDTV 1080i 25Hz – 8 bit (1920 x 1080)”

Next, go into the DeckLink Preferences and turn on down conversion.

    Thanks a lot Kristian.

Now everything works great. I had easy setup “DVCPRO HD” not “Blackmagic HDTV 1080i50 – DVCPRO HD”

    Regards.
