  Getting DAT audio into FCP 5.1 via Decklink Extreme XLR inputs

  I can get the timecode from the dat with a remote cable but cannot get audio signal in log and capture. I am using a big Sony DAT player with XLR outs going into decklink. The Decklink settings are for NTSC/PAL – XLR audio but no joy…??

  you can#t make a split Capture with this card, you can only capture audio with Video….maybe you gave any video to the input to get the audio but didnT know exactly

  Yes, you’ll need a valid analog video signal for the card to see the XLR audio. If you don’t have a video source available, loop the output of the card back to its inputs.
