  • Independent 4 Channel Audio-Routing via SDI to sony digibeta-recorder: IS THAT POSSIBLE ?

    Hello
is there any possibility to play out 4 different Audio-monochannels or 2 Stereo-Channels with decklink
extreme, premiere Pro 2.0 to a sony digital betacam recorder ? I cant find a solution for routing anything. If you playout on tape all audiotracks are routed to SDI-AudioChannel 1+2, nothing on 3+4 . In Avid-Workstations this funktion for independent audio-routing is called ” Direct out”.

    For example:

    SDI-Audiochannel 1: Narrator —— ( Audio-Track 1 mono in Premiere)
    SDI-Audiochannel 2: Dialog —– (Audio-Track 2 mono in Premiere)
    SDI-Audiochannel 3: Music ( Stereo right) —– ( Audio-Track 3 stereo in Premiere)
    SDI-Audiochannel 4: Music ( Stereo left ) ——- ( Audio-Track 3 stereo in Premiere)

that would be realy ” professional”

i need that funktion every day for pre-mastering my digibeta-tapes.

    By the way:
My Digibeta Recorder only have 4 Audio-Channels.
Why is there no Decklink-setting for capuring SDI Audio-Channel 1+2 , 3+4 or both in Prmiere. This 5.1 Audio.capture mode is boring me.
    Thank you for help

Me too. I wish for SDI Input 4 channels ( or 2 stereo pairs ) and output routing to 4 ch in PPro. My daily bussines is like yours. And also wish for BMD Asio input that shows 8 ch in any asio audio compatible aplication.

    PS
You can output 8 channels thru sdi in Nuendo 3 and route them as you like (or i presume, in any similar asio audio aplication.) In Nuendo you can also put video on time line and master your tapes. But you cannot record anything!
