  • Will there be more PCIe HD cards ?

Posted by Dane Silzle on February 15, 2006 at 3:33 am

Getting ready to buy a Quad with one 30″ Apple display
Moving my DL Extreme card out of the Dual G4 to the
Dual 2ghz G5 and would like to not buy anything on the MB Extreme
since it will be over kill for my Multi-Machine Bay.

So the Question is: when is BM going to make/deliver a DL HDPRO dual link PCIe ?
or do I have to can one of my cards and Belly up for the MB Extreme ?

    Love your products. 🙂

    New System

    G5 Quad
    4gig System memory
1 – 30″ LCD I would buy 2 if there was a cheaper solution from BMD (DLHDPRO PCIe)

Well cool news. But i’m a bit confused.
The new HD card is a PCI-E version of the DualLink HD right?

And one thing I dont get:’Multibridge Extreme and Multibridge Studio’
Are these FULL products you can use for capturing/sending out.
Or do you need to buy a PCI-E card also? Or is it included?

Yes, the Multibridge Extreme and Multibeidge Studio are full products. They have a PCI express port on the back which connects to a PCI Express card that is in your Mac. This PCI Express card IS included. To your Mac, it’s just like having a Decklink card inserted.

Cool guys. Thanks for the info.
You speak of mac. But ofcourse its PC also right? 🙂

Is there a physical difference between the Mac/PC card?
Or can you plug them in both systems!

I have a Mac and a PC and I use mine in both systems! Works great!
