  Decklink vs Firewire

  Hello, sorry for this simpleton question, but can someone explain to me the main differences in quality between DVCPRO HD captured through Firewire, and through the Decklink.

  Hi captured over firewire is better because it is prefect fidelity with yhe footage on tape – it is kind of like copying a file.
  When using BMD interface options you can capture footage that is not originally DVCPRO HD like HDCAM or HDCAMS SR or any other HD signal running over HD-SDI
