  HD Link to Apple 20 inch CInema (Luke HELP!)

  Hi Everyone,

  I’m in the very slow process of upgrading my system and need some advice from you knowledgable people.
  Ive currently got a pair of 20inch Apple cinema screens to edit on and use a SDTV to monitor pictures with. Id like to move to HD but monitor in HD without spending silly money to start with so have been wondering if i can use one of my screens for monitoring.

  My question is how would my 20inch work with a HD Link out of the Decklink HD card? Everyone of course recommends the 23 inch screen for pixel for pixel monitoring, but currently thats not an option for me so I would love to be able to use this route for the mean time. I’ll be using mostly 720p and SD.

  Will the 720 display pixel for pixel or become full frame of the screen and is this a switchable option?

  Can I choose to use the whole screen area for SD monitoring or again is it only pixel for pixel (im aware that there is the 2x option for the 23inch ) if i do use the whole screen will this look terrible?

  If I do need to view HDV 1080i will the HDlink squeeze the image onto the 20 inch or is this not possible?
