  • Advice re: HD monitor and the Apple Cinema 30″

I’m thinking of getting the Apple Cinema Display 30″ when the Multibridge Express comes out.

Will this be the ideal HD monitor to view on or should I think about getting a ‘TV’ with HD capabilities?

I’ve seen that there are some LCDs that run HD and are cheaper and bigger than the Apple.

    Advice please!

    Hi Robin,

The Apple Cinema Display 30″ is superb when used with the Multibridge Extreme and you really can’t go wrong with that monitor. You could buy a HD TV but their screens are much lower resolution and they often enhance the color to make them more appealing to consumers. The Apple Cinema Display 30″ will provide you with pixel-for-pixel presentation of resolutions including 2K output and yet is often cheaper than many HD TV displays.

The physical dimensions of some HD TV’s can be larger than the Apple Cinema Display 30″ and if you primarily require size rather than pixel-for-pixel and color accuracy, then the HD TV’s are well worth considering.

I’m looking for pixel-for-pixel and genuine color accuracy, so sounds like the cinema display with the multibridge will rock my world. Just Hurry Up!!!!!

    Hi Robin,

Yes in that case the Apple 30″ monitor will be the way to go for pixel and color accuracy. We’ll all be very happy when Multibridge Extreme ships 🙂

I think that 23inch display should be better!!!!
30′ has native resolution 2560×1600 much more than HD
23′ has native res. exactly in size you want. (1920×1200(1080 with small letterbox).
In my opinion (I use 30′ aplle cinema HD since couple of weeks) this display has great color, I can see only minor diffrences in blacks in comparition to proffesional CRT 19′ HD dedicated monitor.
