  Hi Luke, Matt

  we are still waiting for 5.2 (DV capturing, without “framflip”) for PPro.
  When could we expect a release?

  Hi Claus-Peter,

  We have been doing some updates that Adobe had requested for OpenHD certification which has delayed the 5.2 release by about 10 days.
  The good new is that we have finished this and are releasing 5.1.1 today, so know we can now get back to 5.2 and get it out ASAP.

  I would recommend updating to 5.1.1.

  Good to know things are moving along.

  For my part, though, I’d hope we are going to keep an option to capture DV PAL in standard lower-field first, for compatibility / firewire system editing …? I don’t know what route you’ll take – optional field dominance on capture,to allow for standard material or Decklink-output compatible choices? Or something in the output drivers to reverse field dominance on playout? No doubt you’ve come up with good choices….

  Hi Mike,

  5.1.1 – the PAL DV has not changed. We have come up with a better solution than the current support and will be rolling that into 5.2 which is around 10 days away.

  The problem still exists in NTSC as well in 5.11 (for me anyway).

  DV clips captured in premiere play fine in a DV job (out SDI) but the same clips loaded into an 8bit uncompressed BM seem to play with the fields reversed…the reverse fields toggle does nothing, the deinterlace helps.
