  Do you need ProVTR with Decklink?

  Hi,

  Just curious, in Premiere Pro 1.5, with a deckink card, since it already has the RS-422 serial port (9-pin), do you still need ProVRT to log/capture and edit-to-tape?

  Hi Jason,

  Good to hear from you!

  The short answer is no you dont need PRO VTR. We have included RS422 control as part of our Premiere Pro plugins.

  Thanks for the info . . . wasn’t sure since an older system that was DigitalVoodoo-based did required ProVTR.
