We recently upgraded to FCP 5 with tiger, and have noticed that when using the PRO 50 codec there are some crash issues that seem to be related to the video card. When shuttling back and forth randomly through a time line, FCP will freeze, and only force quitting will release. When we relaunch and turn the video card from “view all frames” to “off”, FCP never freezes. All preferences are default for BM card use. Has any one experienced this, or can shed some light?

    Yes!

I have seen this exact same behavior. The other codecs seem OK.
    Using Dual 2Ghz, Deaklink HD.

Glad to hear it’s not just us. Anyone over at BM tested this?
