SP – playback problems
Put a new DL SP into a new dual 2GHz G5 PCI (Tiger) with FCP 4.5. I can’t get video desktop or playback through the SP card to NTSC monitor. Desktop is all black except for a horizontal band of white at the top of the screen. I can see playback from the mirrored canvas in FCP but all BM codec video plays faster than normal speed. All non BM codec files, like DV, playback fine.
I’ve got a similar setup on a dual G4 with Panther and everything works great. Is this a compatibility issue with new hardware or Tiger or both? Maybe a bad DL card?
