BMD Deck Control cuts 2 frames of audio at the end of playout
I recognised during a playout session to digital beta mashine that 2 frames of the audio get cutted with the BMD Deck Control (windows version driver v4.8.1) First I thougt ist’s get faded out at the end but its a real cut.The last two audio frames are missing but only the audio the video is sync and ok and full length.
Example:
20sec duration clip in PAL = 500 frames (inpoint at 00:00:00:00 outpoint at 00:00:19:24)
the video is exact 500 frames long – last video frame at 00:00:19:24
the audio is only 498 frames long – last audio frame at 00:00:19:22the QuickTime file is perfectly ok 500 frames of audio and video!!!
additional info: I have adjusted my PUT CLIP Offset to -2 (nessesary for sony digital beta)
I think I have found a bug in the BMD Deck Control!!!
Work around:
I recreated my QuickTime clip with blackvideo at the end for a duration of 5 frames (2 frames should be enough but I wanted to get shure) so the video is again 500 frames + 5 frames blackvideo now the audio is 500 frames long + 5 frames blackvideo – the 2 frames audio bug 😉
Now my audio isn’t truncated at the endAll this is really bad for professionel production (what I do) If you always have to think of a workaround!!!
please BMD Team correct this bug because I really need the BMD Deck Control because PremierePro doesn’t work like a real deck and doesn’t playout correctly frame by frame!!! as I explained in a diffrent post.Felix
