I’m looking for an uncompressed capture card to use as a source for a streaming broadcast using flashcom server(I’ll be using a G5 for capture). Has anyone here used the DeckLink SP for this type of thing? I mainly need to make sure it will show up in Flash as a video source.

    Thanks,
    Evan

No. It will not show up as a webcam in flash, if that is what you are looking for.

I couldn’t find anyone else with an answer to this, but I realized that you can download and install the Blackmagic drivers without the card. So I did, and just tested it with flash and it now shows up with 3 new video sources – Blackmagic NTSC/PAL, HDTV 720 and HDTV 1080. So while I haven’t actually captured any video yet, it does appear to work as a source, in case anyone else is interested. Now it’s time put in my order for the card…
