    Hey all,
One of my students is having a problem with AE CS5: you can see the bounding box of each layer, but nothing else. Curse my brain, I had this problem when I first installed CS5, but now I can’t remember how it went away.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Sorry for the vagueness.

    No, mine wasn’t a solo/visibility/wireframe/OpenGL issue. 🙂

    Have you reset the preferences?

I shall advise that, and get back to you. Thanks, Todd.

    Didn’t work.
They’re AI layers, so I’m advising various voodoo techniques of opening AI, or replacing with the same layer inside AE, or reloading in AE. A screengrab is coming.

Ah! Illustrator layers disappearing. That is useful information.

Except for the hidden layer, the screengrab looks normal to me. Whaddaya think, Todd?

Did you see my previous post pointing to a thread here on the COW with suggested solutions?

Yep, thanks, Todd. I responded to it at 7:54:53.

Now that you mention it, I seem to recall changing multiprocessing settings in a fit of desperation a while ago, an action obviously not kept in my long-term memory.

No word from the student yet.
