    Hi,

I am having a problem with the camera tool. I keep getting this weird distortion field or ‘fuzz’ on some of my recent comps. I’ve never had an issue before. The distortion last for a second then goes away. I can’t seem to get rid of it.
What am I doing wrong? 🙁

    Thanks in advance..

    Cheers!

Is this while you’re working or when you render?

If it’s while you’re working check your Fast Preview Preferences, you may be seeing Adaptive Resolution or openGL artifacting.

The problem is while I render.

Could you post a screen shot of the both distorted and not distorted.

Difficult to diagnose from your description.

Effects, lights anything else that might be causing the distortion?

I wish I could post a picture… but unfortunately I’m home now and the problem happened at work 🙂 I won’t be able to post anything until Monday. The best way I can describe the distortion is…… well it’s like someone added a layer of film grain.

I tried turning off the light layer and even changing the camera type, but i kept running into the problem. I am using a 4k sized background in an hd comp. (could not find anything smaller)

I decided to go back to work after all. I figured out the problem.

I turned off the ‘depth of field’ option in the camera. it corrected the distortion problem
