CC vs Comping-FX work in a linearized workspace
Hi
I fully understand the advantages of working in a linearized workspace for any comping and FX(blends, motion blurs, glows, etc) work, but still wrestling with CC and grading. Most effects and presets for CC and grading seem to ‘break’…ie try using Color Finess in 8,16 or 32 bpc and switch ‘linearized workspace’ off and on.
Should comping and FX be kept in an entirely separate render pipeline than CC and grading? ie Do all your comping and FX in a linearized workspace, render, and then switch to non-linearized fr final CC and grading?
