  ink mask

  Hi all,

  I am trying to create some mask using an ink video.

  I have achieved already almost what I wanted.

  for now, what I have done is:

  I put my ink over the layer i wanted to reveal, and this layer I setup on Alpha matte.

  The problem is my ink still show when reveals the layer below. I tried with levels or using another luma tricks but nothing worked.

  any solution??

  Posting a few stills will help understand the issue. Right now it seems that turning off the visibility for the ink layer should solve the problem… but then again, it’s not very clear how you applied the ink layer as Alpha- did you use it as a track matte?

  If I reduce the opacity of the layer, nothing shows up. As you can see on the comp_mask.png, it looks like the ink is getting some of the textures of the layer below, but still show the texture of the ink.
