I’m trying to export a spot for Google TV. Google TV is SD and I am assuming the color profile ‘SD NTSC 16-235’ would be either correct or safe. Their spec sheet details everything but color profiles.

When I render out an uncompressed file from AE with an embedded ‘SD NTSC 16-235’ color profile it looks like it should: it lacks a little contrast. The problem occurs during transcoding with Quicktime 7. In the Filters menu, under Color Sync, I choose ‘SD NTSC 16-235’ for both the source and destination profile. The transcoded file loses additional contrast. I would think that the colors and dynamic range would be unaffected based on the settings.

Does anyone have any insight into this.

I tried using Adobe Media Converter, but it lacks all the parameters I need to meet Google’s specs.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,
