  Robin Hood like Painting Effect in After Effects?

  Dear Creative Cow-Team!

  I have a question regarding the possible re-creation of an effect (doesn’t have to be the exact same result, just the same style). Any hint or help would be greatly appreciated.
  A customer of ours wants an intro similar to the Robin Hood Credit Animation (Painted Look over real-life footage)

  I tried to use the cartooner and brush strokes effect but none of them worked out the way I wanted.
  The brush strokes effect is cool, but it makes the footage too turbulent. Cartooner makes the footage look too cheesy.

  I’m absolutely helpless on this one!

  Toonit from Red Giant may help you with the look you want, although I think the title sequence you gave as an example involved a lot more than just a plugin.

  Thanks for the quick response.
  You are probably right. I guess they painted frame by frame and did not use a plugin.
  As we neither have the time nor the budget to do this I wanted to know if there’s a way to create a similar result.
