  Trails/Feedback effect

  Hello

  I’m looking to create an effect similar to the one seen in this video:

  I’ve been working with echo, trails (BCC), temporal blur (BCC) and echospace (trapcode) in cs5 but I can’t achieve the same fluid motion that ‘sprays’ the colours out. My attempts are too static and look more like traditional feedback rather than rays of moving light. Sorry if my explaination is lacking, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  What you see in this video are some good ole’ “Video Toaster” age effects done by pure electronic manipulation. I’m afraid there’s no plugin that can easily replicate that. You already mentioned some of the plugins that can be used for feedback, but the smooth color flares – maybe roto out the color areas, boost the saturation and apply trapcode Shine…

  Thanks very much for the advice.

  I had played around with shine before but without any rotoing. Is there a quick way to roto out the colours or are we talking frame by frame?
