  AE Renders Slowly

  Hello,
  I’m using After Effects CS4[Multi-Enabled] with this:

  Windows 7 64 bit
  INTEL E5200 2.50 ghz
  4 GB DDR2 800 RAM
  ATI HD 5670 1 gb [Last update installed]
  1 tb hdd 7200 rpm

  i’m just rendering the 1 minutes video and little effects.Just 1 minute.But it’s rendering 42 minutes.
  My old system have 2 gb ram on the windows xp it’s rendering faster than this.
  Why after effects doing this.

  Turn multi processing off. You do not have enough RAM for that- you need at least 2GB per core and 1.5GB for bk processes. You should get better results with no multiprocessing.
  Also, make sure you have the 9.0.3 update for CS4 and OpenGL off.
