  Quicktime – Mac vs. Windows

  Hello,
  I made 2 Quicktimes with Photo Jpeg 100% quality from the exact same image sequence. One was made on a Mac and on was made on a PC (both are using Quicktime 6.5.2). When I look at the movie on the PC it looks exactly the same, but when I open them on the Mac, the one created on Windows looks darker. This only seems to happen with the Photo Jpeg (and MJpeg) codec. Does anybody know what’s going on? Thank you!

  Are you judging this by looking at the same output monitor?

  The gammas of macs and PC are different as far as comp displays.

  It’s not in the same monitor. I’m viewing the image sequence, and the two Quicktimes on both a Mac Cinema display, and a Sony monitor. The Quicktimes made with different codecs seem to look the same so I’m wondering if it has to do with the PhotoJpeg codec.
