images mosaic to form logo
Dear All,
I have searched this forum in the hope to find an answer to my query. Found none, so here I am looking for help.
I was wondering if anyone knows about any tutorial or plugin to create a similar effect to the video in the link below:

in the first 2 seconds of this video, you will see a series of small square images forming a mosaic of the hulu logo.
Its a transition from separate images, to mosaic on a logo, to final logo.
I would like to implement that exact effect on adobe after effects, with different images, and a different logo.
please let me know. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

My recommendation would be to use Card Dance with the logo as a displacement map. There are a few tuts on using Card Dance, they don’t give the exact effect your looking for, but they should teach you enough to work out how to do it yourself.

I had a look at card dance already, but as you said it doesn’t give the exact effect I want. It is a good starting point though. Thank you.
