  credit roll with alternating one column / two columns sections

  Hi,

  I’m creating a credit roll in After Effects. The first twenty seconds will be a one column roll, followed by fifteen seconds of a two column roll, followed again by a one column roll.

  Is there a way to do this in one text box, or do I have to create separate text boxes (in order to format the one column roll and the two column rolls) and time the rolls so that they appear as one?

  I would suggest you make different text boxes. But it’ll be very easy to animate. Just parent them together.

  I actually like to use premiere pro for credits. The reason is that it’s really easy to time the credits to end exactly at the end of a song. No keyframes necessary. Just an alternative.
