    Hey

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this.

Just got Particular and having great fun messing with it.
SO i made this nice pretty comp with text and nice cam pans around growing green organisms made with TP. Looks fab!

SO i finish tweaking camera angles and kit “add to render queue”

I have tried rendering in a a variety of formats, but only the text appears, no particle systems = not so pretty comp 🙁

I tried dropping it all into a pre-comp and the same thing happened in the comp window, without even trying to render.

Really baffled have tried a number of attempts to resolve without success…..anyone know what im doing wrong?

    Many Thanks
    Nick

When asking a question like yours it is ALWAYS good to mention the system you’re working on, the software version and to post some screen grabs of your comp. This way we can get a better idea of what is going on. Unless some of us have experienced the exact same problem on a project exactly like yours (not impossible but highly improbable), all we can say is … weird!?!

Hey Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly

    System:
    AMD Phenom 9550 64bit
4Gb RAM (another 4 on the way)
    1Gb Nvidia 9550 GT GPU

    Software:
    Windows 7 64
    After Effects CS5
    Trapcode Particular 2.1.1

I have attached a screen grab of the comp and a grab of the render result, the particle layers are missing.

Please let me know any more details you need.

    Thanks

    Nick

Even though you have CS5, see if you have OpenGL on and turn it off. Let us know if that does anything.

The layers in that comp called ‘particular’ are all guide layers. If those are the layers you actually have your particle system on, that will explain why they won’t render.

Can either of you advise on how i could make this font 3d?
Im using 3DS max but have not yet played with importing into AE

    Thanks both for your advice

Use PSD Extended to create 3D text then import that in AE.
    Or use Zaxwerks Invigorator
