  Reverse telecine a 25 fps file back to 24 fps native – how and is it possible w/ Compressor?

  I have many master files that have been frame rate converted from 24 – > 25 fps. I couldn’t figure out how to reverse telecine back the 25 fps master file back to 24 fps native master. This is because many online VOD platforms needed to be in native frame rate. Is this possible or the damage has already been done? It is simply removing the extra duplicate frame caused by the 24-25 fps conversion.

  This makes no sense at all.
  There is no ‘official’ telecine for 24/25
  Avid once had a telecine process where a field was added every 12 / 13 frames, but that is almost never used.

  Adding a whole frame is something stupid that QT alone did. (QT can remove it as well.)

  Normally the 24p is speeded up to 25, so it’s still sorta kinda ‘native’. (Only it’s shorter than the original.)
