  Quicktime to wmv file: “Failed- a file or directory could not be found (-43)”

  i did some web-searching for QT error (-43), but it only seemed to yield filename length issues, which i tried to no avail. i had been able to open a QT movie, then export to wmv with no problems until lately, now i get, “”Failed- a file or directory could not be found (-43)”. Any ideas? Time to re-install QT Pro? Other codec conversions still seem to work fine out of QT Pro, just not wmv’s…

  What’s the third party tool that you’re using for WMVs? QuickTime pro doesn’t do it out of the box. Flip4Mac? Have you seen if they’ve updated their software since you installed it?

  ya, it’s updated…just downloaded and installed update again. still same error…and no wmv option out of FCP “Share”…

  So, if you’ll forgive that I’m hunting around and be patient, I’ll keep trying.

  Hmm, Ok, so some quick googling leads me to believe that the problem is the “WHERE” for the share – can you change the location?

  hmmmm, mr. smarty pants…i changed destination drives and it worked! And, “forgive you” for hunting around for an answer for ME??? no, i THANK you immensely for spending your time on it. Thanks a bunch!
