RAID not reading drive
So, I thought I had a hardware failure in my array. I have a Mac Pro with 3 1TB Seagate drives in bays 2,3, and 4. My array disappeared from my OS. Open up the box, and the drive in bay 3 is kaput.
Or was it?
I hooked it up to an external dock and it fired up. So I swapped another drive into that bay and it seemed not to work.
At least, it doesn’t show up in Disk Utility. DU seems to recognize a drive in bay 2 and 4, but not 3.
Is this a hardware problem (which is what I’m assuming)? And if so, is this the forum for this issue? And if the answer to that is yes, then any suggestions on what I should do?
Thanks in advance.
