  issues with installing tiger

  i’m upgrading to final cut studio, so i had to also upgrade to tiger.

  i put the tiger install dvd in and after a few tries, no window popped up and it kept ejecting the disc.

  my dvd player is fine, the disc looks fine, no scratches or anything, so i brought the disc to my friend with the same computer just to see what would happen, and it worked.

  anyone have any suggestions on what the problem could be or a way to remedy this?

  Restart… verify permissions…

  then try it again…

  if you restart holding down the C key on the keyboard while the dick is in the drive it will force the computer to boot off of the optical drive
