another bootcamp question
I just installed boot camp on my 17″ macbook pro. When I try to install the drivers CD that bootcamp burned for windows it tells me that it is the wrong software for the hardware. Any ideas?

I seem to remember something about these type of messages coming up and just having to click through them…
of course you should remember this is beta software… and I would check to make sure that you have the latest firmware installed…

Couple things to do first.
1) run your software update and get everthing up to date.
2) read this page before getting started.

3) download the firmware update that is a download from Apple and does not show up in the software update

4) repair permissions after running the firmware update
5) download the latest version of bootcamp. (there is a new one)

6) print out the bootcamp PDF and follow each step during the install. it does require some input from you so don’t think it is a click and come back later install.
