  Opening two documents with automator

  I was wondering if there is a way to tie two documents together. I don’t know if I would use automator or something else. What I would like to do is when I open the Microsoft Word document, I would also like it to open a Microsoft Excel document. Or if I open the Microsoft Excel document it will also open the Word document. I am new to posting so I hope I posted this in the right area…
