  Sony HVR-Z1U compatibility with imovieHD

  I posted this on the Sony site with no luck.
  I’ve got a Sony HVR-Z1U HD camera. trying to import video into imovie HD.
  It will not connect. Compatibility shows the cheaper consumer version is compatible. I have a hard time believing it will not work.
  I’ve been told it’s a set up in the Mac. I’m using a MacMini.
  I’ve tried my JVC GY DV500…it works great.
  Any ideas?
