  Twixtor plugin for FCPX pausing on and off

  I’m trying to experiment with Twixtor plugin for FCPX and I am seeing the ‘twixtored’ video pause every second or so even when fully rendered.

  Video: 60p 1/4000 from a Canon T2i

  Twixtor settings: Smart blend on, slowed down to 7%, everything else set as default.

  I’ve tried letting FCPX create the project settings (which sets to 59.9f fps) and I’ve tried a new project set manually to 60 fps. I also looked frame by frame to see if there are any duplicated frames in the original video and it seemed like every frame was different.

  Somewhere there is a FPS difference between how FCP interprets footage in and what Twixtor is asked to render

  Can you verify from around 0:45 in this tutorial if you are doing this properly – you need to set this to there is no frame duplication (or skipping) performed by FCP —
