    Hello
just wondering how I should set my processing and memory for this effect on ProRes 1080 50i 25fps (from fcp project HDV. The piece is 10 minutes in length.

any help or advice would be awesome!
    cheers

Hey Dave thanks for the reply

what i was saying is that it started as HDV 50i in FCP but was sent to Color and rendered back at ProRes 108050i 25fps so going into AE it is not HDV anymore.

Yes I am on CS5 as well

    thanks

if you want to make sure all the cores are running at a high level, open the activity monitor (applications>utilities) as you render/preview. if the cpu usage graph is near the top, then your settings are good. if not, then tweak the settings, just don’t lower the ram to leave for other apps bellow 2gb or so.

    HELLO GUYS,

SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS – RENDERING OBVIOUSLY 😉

SO RIGHT NOW I AM ADDING GRAIN TO A PRORES444 15 MINUTE RENDER OUT OF DAVINCI RESOLVE ON SOME GRADED R3D FOOTAGE THAT THE DIRECTOR WANTS A BIT GRITTIER.

MY QUESTION IS AGAIN ABOUT RENDER SETTINGS:

THAT IS, I HAVE IT SET TO MULTI PROCESSING AND LEAVING 10 GB FOR OTHER APPS IS THIS CORRECT ON MY 32GB 12-CORE? IT SAYS 4 HRS TO RENDER 🙁
