applying effects to specific color channels
Hello,
I’m trying to find a way to seperate the color channels so I can apply effects to that specific channel. In photoshop this is really easy but I haven’t succeded in getting to work that way in After Effects.
It seems possible using three seperate layers (Add) and applying a configuration of “Set channel” for each. Somehow the end-result is always off though.
Would anyone know how to achieve such a thing or know a way of applying effects (Blur/Sharpen) to just one color channel?

if you want other kinds of blurs besides channel blur, you can use effect-shift, leave red on, green and blue full off, do this for all 3 separate layers, then set each layer as screen. it will return the orginal image back so that you can do whatever you want to each channel.
