  Record straight to Laptop with 5d mark III

  Hi guys:

  I’ve got the 5d mark III and a macbook pro. Is there a way to use the laptop as the monitor and record straight to it recording in 1080 30p?

  Well, I’ve not tried to run the headphone jack into the line in on the Mac, but I bet it would not work without an adapter. I personally use my Mixpre D in this kind of situation, as it has a USB converter that pumps the audio out through the USB. Sort of made to do this.
