Looking for the Right Camera For Me
So I’m in the market to buy a new camera for video purposes. I have little to no intent on still photography; I’m solely interested in this for YouTube purposes. This does not need to be studio-grade, however I am interested in getting some pretty good quality.
I was looking at things like the Canon Powershot ELPH 300, which seemed pretty ideal quality wise and definitely price-wise, however I found out that it and many other similar cameras have a limit on 10 minute recordings, which is a dealbreaker for me, I’m afraid to say.
So my price range is roughly $300-500. Anything cheaper is of course awesome, however I know I’m already asking a lot since most DSLRs are a bare minimum of $500.
That being said, I can go for any style–DSLR, camcorder, etc. The main things I need are good quality (720p is a must, 1080p is not) and no time limit on recordings at a decent price for someone who isn’t making videography his life. Some insight on this would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance for your time.
