Hi dudes im troubled, i found 2 nasty white elements living inside my new XF300 and they walk around the second and the third glass of the lens. i need to kill them until i can send it to guarantee in the usa. I bought the XF in the USA but im not there at this time.

How much cold or heat can i apply to my camcorder? i want to neutralize them for a couple of weeks until i can reach a service center. What else can i do?

    Sad

I would not subject the lens to any extremes of cold or heat or attempt to do anything at all, for fear of violating the warranty. Seal it in a ziploc type bag until you can send it out.

Thats sure, but the specs for the camcorder allow to be between 0-40 C degrees so ill play a little with the temp and in a couple of weeks i will send the camcorder for repair.

Do you have an idea of what could be done to it if under warranty? is it possible that the lens become replaced?

It’s unlikely to be replaced, they’ll probably disassemble, clean and re-assemble the lens.
